Pictures of Jaco

Here are some of the pictures of our trip to Costa Rica in February. I can't believe it has been almost two months since we have been back...I feel like I have left a piece of my heart there. It already feels like home....it's weird how that can happen. I hope you enjoy these pics as much as we do!!!

The town of Jaco.

The shopping center where Radical Church (the Spanish church that works with CSCR) meets weekly.

The CSCR Property

The houses on the property. The girls and Joel and I will live in the the small house in the back and the boys will be staying in the upper loft area of the other building.

The pavillion where they hold bible study every Wednesday night. The kids also come after school and get help with their homework.

The half-pipe on the property where the kids can skate.

Calvary Christian Fellowship, the English church that is right up the street from the CSCR property.

The coast of Jaco (this picture was taken from the town of Hermosa).

I fell in love with the many different lizards. This little guy was resting in the tree right above where we were sitting :)

Joel and I with Coky and Marissa Valverde. Coky is the National Director of CSCR.

  1. Great pics! What is the weather like? How long do you expect to stay?

  2. It's very warm :) There are two seasons. The dry season from December thru May and the Rainy season from June thru November. During the rainy season, about 70% of the rain falls in a two week period, then it rains a little every day. You still get plenty of sun during the rainy season. It was hot and very humid when we were there. We have committed to one year, but will most likely be staying for longer than that. It all depends on what we feel that God is telling us :)

  3. See there? Your photos & text turned out exactly right! The ones you posted are a perfect representation of your trip there. It's nice to be able to "picture" where you'll be...
